Event Parking

We highly encourage you to park at the public parking lot located at City Hall. If you look at the map, it appears to be far away, but it actually is a short 1/2 mile walk. And on your way to the Frisco StrEATS, you can stop by the Classic Car show sponsored by Frisco Automotive. After you eat all the Kimchee Fries and  Grilled Cheese Sandwiches at StrEATS, you'll really need the walk back anyway. By the time you approach your car, you might even stop by and get a snow cone from the Frisco Snow Cone lady...why not? Who's counting calories on Saturday? I'm not!

OH! Did i mention we'll have pedicabs?! Well, if you don't want to walk, flag down a pedicab! They're free, but they do take tips. They're so fun to ride too! WEEEeeeee!

There are also two public parking lots in downtown that are available for use. See the map below. And we will offer limited handicap parking at the event site on Third Street.

Wow! We are a little over a month away until the 2nd Annual Downtown Frisco StrEATS! We have so many new things for this years event on April 20th.

#1: Our poster came out awesome! Thanks to Frisco Style Magazine, our amazing sponsor, and Kristen Johnson, our wonderful in-house artist, who created the logo. Kristen will also be showcasing her art at Frisco StrEATS!

#2:  The location of the event will be in the same general area, but like our belly's will be on April 20th, we are expanding! Here's the comparison:

#3:  This year we are so happy to help out our neighbors and Frisco Family Services (FFS) by asking all of you to bring a non-perishable food item for the food pantry. Get some good karma and give back! For each food item (or each dollar of cash/gift card) donated, you will get a raffle ticket for a chance to win some very nice prizes, such as tickets to sporting events (Dallas Stars, FC Dallas, Roughriders, etc.), and gift cards to some of our local Downtown shops. While FFS will gladly take any non-perishable food item, they are in need of boxed meals, baking good, oils, baby items. For a complete list click on this link: FFS Pantry

#4:  Maaaaan, do we have some entertainment for you and your entire family this year. Do you have kidlets? We have a children's area! Do you like to shop? We have funky and fun vendors, plus all the boutiques on Main Street. Do you like to  nerd out on video games? We have a freakin' game truck! Do you like to have a brewski and listen to music? We have a beer garden with live music (plus two other stages)! Do you like to dance? We have a mobile DJ truck! Do you like cars? There will be a classic car show a block away! Do you like to eat? This is Downtown Frisco StrEATS!!! Fourteen Gourmet food trucks! What else? Did we miss anything? Oh, you can still bring your furry friend...and your dogs too...HA!

#5:  Parking. You know how you go to, for example, the mall during Christmas, or Six Flags, or Disneyland...and you have to walk. Yeah...well, you'll have to walk. But people don't walk enough these days so we are helping with your health.  You can park in the street in Downtown, or you can park in the parking lot behind City Hall (it's only half a mile). We will have Pedi-cabs riding around offering free rides (they do accept tips, though!).

It's gonna to be a good time! See you all at Downtown Frisco StrEATs!!!

* Sincere apologies for the over-use of exclamation points. I'm just so excited, and NO, I can't hide it!!!!

Believe it or not...the StrEATS Committe has been hard at work organizing the 2nd Annual Downtown Frisco StrEATS! We are so excited to bring back this awesome event to Downtown in Spring 2013!!! We will have so many new activities, more space and more food trucks. We Every single comment, suggestion, complaint from last years event was read and we are doing our best to address everything.

A few people suggested changing the location of the event, however, the purpose of Downtown Frisco StrEATS is to promote and bring awareness to our historic Downtown, so that is the only change we are not doing.

We will be bringing you with more information in the months to come, but for now, check out our awesome logo created by local artist, Kristen Johnson.

Inaugural Downtown Frisco StrEATS

On April 28th, 2012 Downtown Frisco held its first Downtown Frisco StrEATS - Gourmet Food Truck & Music Festival. It was an unexpected hot, but, beautiful spring day. Also unexpected: the number of people that attended this event. We estimated about 3,000 to 5,000 people attended when we originally expected about 1,000! Regardless, we think it was not bad for our first event and our minimal budget (very minimal!). We now know where we need to tweak things to make this event better for next time. We had a great "StrEATS Team" organizing and awesome volunteers who helped out. This event wouldn't have happened without the support of the Main Street Merchants Association and the Downtown Advisory Board, the amazing Food Trucks that participated and the musicians that provided the entertainment. The best part of Downtown Frisco StrEATS is seeing everyone enjoying the food and the music in Downtown, the heart of Frisco. We hope to continue this Downtown tradition in the years to come!

Logo was designed by a very talented local artist, Kristen Johnson

The StrEATS Team got together the weekend before to clean up the Gazebo and the Beer Garden Area

JoDawgs was the first truck to arrive at City Hall for their inspection. It was real exciting for us!

The trucks started rolling into position on Fourth Street

Collhaus made their very much anticipated DFW debut at Frisco StrEATS

The lines were insane the entire time for all trucks. All food was sold out by 7:00PM

This School of Rock student rocked out!

The food...it was ALL delicious! This is slider from Easy Sliders.

We love Scott's (from So-Cal Tacos) energy; gave high-fives to everyone!
