Inaugural Downtown Frisco StrEATS

On April 28th, 2012 Downtown Frisco held its first Downtown Frisco StrEATS - Gourmet Food Truck & Music Festival. It was an unexpected hot, but, beautiful spring day. Also unexpected: the number of people that attended this event. We estimated about 3,000 to 5,000 people attended when we originally expected about 1,000! Regardless, we think it was not bad for our first event and our minimal budget (very minimal!). We now know where we need to tweak things to make this event better for next time. We had a great "StrEATS Team" organizing and awesome volunteers who helped out. This event wouldn't have happened without the support of the Main Street Merchants Association and the Downtown Advisory Board, the amazing Food Trucks that participated and the musicians that provided the entertainment. The best part of Downtown Frisco StrEATS is seeing everyone enjoying the food and the music in Downtown, the heart of Frisco. We hope to continue this Downtown tradition in the years to come!

The StrEATS Team got together the weekend before to clean up the Gazebo and the Beer Garden Area

JoDawgs was the first truck to arrive at City Hall for their inspection. It was real exciting for us!

The trucks started rolling into position on Fourth Street

Collhaus made their very much anticipated DFW debut at Frisco StrEATS

The lines were insane the entire time for all trucks. All food was sold out by 7:00PM

This School of Rock student rocked out!

The food...it was ALL delicious! This is slider from Easy Sliders.

We love Scott's (from So-Cal Tacos) energy; gave high-fives to everyone!
