Downtown Merchants Association
Announces
5th Annual Frisco StrEATS
Gourmet Food Truck
& Music Festival
Frisco, Texas. The Frisco Downtown Merchants
Association is pleased to announce the
5th Annual Frisco StrEATs Gourmet Food Truck & Music Festival, presented by the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center. This year’s event will be held on
Saturday, April 9th
from 12pm - 7pm in downtown Frisco.
Frisco
StrEATS is a free, family-friendly event featuring some of DFW’s most popular
gourmet food trucks, quality live music and a large number of vendor booths.
The spring event has drawn larger and larger crowds throughout the years, as
area families and food truck groupies have gathered to enjoy great food,
trendy melodies and a beer garden offering beer and wine for purchase.
This
year, the Merchants Association will host at least 23 food trucks, 30% more
than last year, 20-30 local vendors and six bands, along with a new arts area
featuring local artists and their creative work. “The Frisco StrEATS event
has become a premier spring attraction in downtown Frisco,” said Chris
Johnson, president of the Frisco Downtown Merchants Association. “Last year’s
festival drew more than 12,000 people to downtown Frisco, and with the
additional trucks and attractions, we are expecting and even larger crowd
this year.”
The
music line-up will again be anchored by the popular DFW dance and wedding band
Moving Colors, with other sets
throughout the day by Patrick Casey,
Matthew Schaffer, Rich Ellis, Iron Horse Express and Philipaloosa.
“We
are so grateful to our sponsors this year,” added Johnson. “The support we
have received allows us to continue to grow the event by offering additional
programming, attractions, food trucks, an expanded children’s area and great music.
It’s truly a spring celebration of historic downtown, and I know every who
attends is going to have a great time.”
The
title sponsor, the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, is joined in
support of Frisco StrEATS by Watermere at Frisco, Legacy Plumbing, Classique
Jewelers, Renew Family Dentistry, Fence Makeovers, Mosquito Joe and Patti
Ann’s Flowers.
Free
pedicab transportation will be available from Frisco city hall garage to and
from the event venue.
